More Steak Mac and Cheese

Use any pasta you like!

ingredients

  • 16oz Steak, cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheddar, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, shredded
  • 1/2 cup monterey, shredded
  • 14oz cooked pasta, this recipe uses Bowtie but you could use any type you like
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Parsley, Cayenne, Red Pepper flakes (optional toppings)

directions

  1. Cook your pasta according to package instructions (maybe a little al dente), set aside
  2. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat
  3. Add steak to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until desired temperature.  set aside (you could also add peppers here if you like)
  4. In the same pan, melt 2 more tbsp of butter over med/high heat.
  5. Add flour and stir until mixed, season with salt.
  6. Pour milk into the pan and stir until smooth.
  7. Add cream cheese and pepper, stir until smooth.
  8. Add cheddar, parmesan, and monterey... stir until smooth
  9. Add the cooked steak to the pan and stir until covered
  10. Add the cooked pasta, and stir until covered
  11. Sprinkle with any other seasonings you like, and enjoy!!
