Fried green tomatoes

Deep Fried Green Tomatoes
2 Large green tomatoes,
1/2 cup flour,
2 tablespoons milk,
1 1/2 cups seasoned panko or more as needed,
2 teas. garlic powder,
1/2teas. red pepper flakes.
Deep fryer (or pan fry)
Heat oil to 350 in deep fryer.
Slice green tomatoes 1/4 in thick.
Mix flour, garlic powder and pepper flakes together on one end of wax paper.
Whisk together milk and egg in a bowl.
Add panko to the other end of wax paper.
Dip tomato slices in flour, then in egg mixture, then in panko.
Add to fryer. Don't over crowd.
Fry until golden brown, about 2 mins.
Drain on double layers of paper towel.
I serve mine with ranch dressing.
