It's easy - but I didn't know the proper way...

ingredients

1 cup rice
1 to taste salt
2 cups water
1 to taste butter

directions

1 Rub your slow cooker lightly with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
2 Pour in rice, water and salt.
3 Cover and cook on High 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Note: Up to 4 cups raw rice may be prepared in slow cooker making 10 cups cooked

Never cooked rice in a slow cooker, but would the be gooey? Seems you've got extra liquid when it's done. But as I said I've never cooker.

Does this work for all types of rice? (White, brown, long grain, instant, what?)

I'm not happy about the one person that had water left over. The crockpot should work as a rice maker making it unnecessary you stir and butter sides. To answer someone else's question, yes, with all types.

Tried it! Not sure what type of rice I used. stirred the ingredients a bit before turning on crock pot and didn't stir while cooking. It turned out pretty well! personally had no water left over. did butter sides, also.

I have tried this and it is amazing. made rice for dinner had leftovers the week. If you measure exactly, will make fluffy. Remember to stir. As a side note, i used liner crockpot. ZERO clean up!

I have tried it. It was amazing. Just make sure to stir it often, measure exactly, and turn off when is done. also used a liner keep the cleanup easy. had enough for entire week.
