Tastes like a Cheeseburger... but a pizza!!

ingredients

Pizza Dough Recipe:

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsps. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsps. salt
  • 2 tsps. sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsps. fast rise yeast
  • 2 Tbsps. Cornmeal

Sauce Recipe:

  • ¼ cup prepared mustard
  • ¾ cup ketchup

Cheeseburger Pizza Topping:

  • 8 slices bacon cut into 1” pieces
  • ½ lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. steak spice
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp. pepper – omit salt because of steak spice and bacon
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Marble cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated

directions

Directions for the Pizza Dough:

  • Place all ingredients into bread pan in order listed; select pizza dough setting. If your bread machine doesn’t have a pizza dough setting then select dough setting, and when dough is done, place on lightly floured surface and cover with plastic wrap; let rise in warm place for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle two 12” medium pizza pans with cornmeal. Divide dough into 2 balls and roll each dough ball into a circle with rolling pin until it is slightly larger than the pan. Place dough into pizza pans and pinch sides to form a crust.
  • If you desire a thick crust pizza, cover it with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes. If not, then proceed with the sauce and toppings.

Directions for the Sauce: Mix mustard and ketchup in a bowl and set aside

Directions for the Cheeseburger Pizza Toppings:

  • In medium skillet, cook bacon until browned. Remove and drain on paper towels. Wipe skillet clean and fry ground beef. Add seasonings, taste and adjust. When cooked through, remove from heat and drain any fat. Let cool slightly.
  • Spread a generous amount of sauce onto each pizza – you may not need to use it all. Sprinkle with ground beef, bacon and sliced onions. Top with grated cheeses.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 450 for 13 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and place pizza pan on wire rack. Let cool for 5 - 8 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
