A throw together version of Beef Borgnine
ingredients
- 1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 packet beefy onion soup mix (e.g., Lipton)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms,
- sliced 8 ounces baby carrots
directions
- Mix sauce ingredients in cooker.
- Add meat, carrots, and mushrooms, and stir.
- Cook on high 4 hours and low 4 hours, or just low for about 8 to 10 hours.
I personally like to mix it up a little - add peas, fresh chopped onion, or whatever veggies you like - make it a little saucier by doubling the wine and soup) great served by itself with fresh bread or over egg noodles
