Queso de cabra al Horno

description

GOAT CHEESE BAKED IN TOMATO SAUCE, SERVED WITH TOASTED GARLIC or FRENCH BREAD

ingredients

8 oz package of plain goat cheese
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1 garlic or french bread loaf ( cut into slices for toasting)
butter for toasting bread, if using french loaf
italian seasonings or fresh parsley and garlic powder
salt and pepper (to taste)

directions

Set broiler onto HIGH setting.
Cut bread loaf into equal sizes, butter and place on a cookie sheet. Toast under broiler until desired shade. Wrap in aluminum foil and place somewhere to keep them warm.
Place goat cheese in baking dish (one that is also for serving out of; I recommend ceramic); empty can of crushed tomatoes around the goat cheese so that the top of cheese remains uncovered by the sauce.

Place dish into broiler. Check every 5 minutes. Ready to eat when everything is toasty on top and heated throughout. Sprinkle with italian seasonings or fresh parsley/garlic powder, pepper, and a dash of salt before serving.

Serve with toast, enjoy :)
