ingredients

  • 2 tubes of Biscuits (I just used Pillsbury Grands)
  • 4 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup crumbled bacon
  • 1 small block grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup baking soda
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
  • Chopped oregano

directions

  1. Divide dough into about 8-12 lumps.
  2. Flatten each lump into about a three-inch wide disk.
  3. Place a small mound of cheese and then about a tablespoon of bacon in each one and pinch shut tight to form a ball.
  4. Combine the warm water and baking soda in a bowl.
  5. Dunk each roll into the water and place on a greased baking sheet, sprinkle with coarse salt.
  6. Use a serrated knife to cut a slit in the top of each roll.
  7. Combine the butter, garlic, and paprika and microwave until the butter is melted.
  8. Then add the herbs. Brush each roll evenly with mixture.
  9. Bake at 400 for about 12-15 minutes or until browned. Serve and enjoy!
