Monte Cristoe Sandwich

description

A Ham & Cheese cooked like French Toast. Worth Trying. Filling & Yummy

ingredients

1 Egg, about 2 Tbsps Milk, 2 slices hearty bread, thin sliced ham about 2-5 slices, 2 - 4 slices cheese your choice, mayo, butter.

directions

Beat Egg & milk, you could add pepper or cinnamon if you like. Make a ham & cheese sandwich spreading each slice of bread with mayo to your taste, covering each with at least one slice of cheese, choose one which will melt nicely. Place ham as the middle layer & put the sandwich together. Begin melting a small amount of butter on a skillet or grittle, & dredge the sandwich in the egg mixture, keeping the sandwich together, but soaking up the mixture as if you're making french toast. Fry the sandwich like a grilled cheese on low enough heat to melt & warm the insides, but long enough to brown the bread. This is surprisingly tasty & filling. Enjoy!
