Bacon...

ingredients

  • 12 oz. pkg. frozen "steamable" green beans
  • 5 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 C. chopped onions
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. ketchup
  • 1 T. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

directions

  1. Steam the green beans according to pkg. directions.
  2. In a skillet, add the bacon and cook till it begins to get crisp, add in the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, drain off the bacon grease.
  3. To the pan, add the brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and mustard. Stir to combine well.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the green beans to the pan, stirring to coat in the sauce.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes, season with the pepper before serving.
