description

First Taco Pizza I ever had when I was a youngster. I will never forget the excellent combination of beef and cheese, topped with (after baking) lettuce and tomatoes and having Nacho Cheese Doritos crunched up all over the top, then dipping it in Ortega Mild Green Chile Salsa. Oh my gosh, it was and still is my favorite type of pizza!!

ingredients

  • 1 pre-made or homemade pizza crust
  • 1 pound 90/10 ground beef, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of your favorite salsa/tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 3 3/8 ounces Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • Sour Cream and more Salsa for garnish (if desired)

directions

  • Bake crust.
  • While it's baking cook and crumble ground beef, and drain.
  • Add salsa/tomato sauce (it's just a matter of taste preference) to top of crust,
  • Sprinkle crumbled beef over sauce, cover with cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
  • Add Lettuce, tomatoes, Doritos and any other toppings you want, slice and enjoy
