Super creamy alfredo sauce over fettuccine.
ingredients
8 oz uncooked fettuccine,
1/2 cup butter or margarine,
1/2 cup whipping cream,
3/4 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese,
1/2 tsp salt,
1/8 tsp pepper (black or white),
chopped fresh parsley
directions
In large sauce pot, cook fettuccine to desired doneness. (I don't like aldente', I like DONE! ;)). While fettuccine is cooking, heat butter and whipping cream over LOW heat in large non-stick skillet or saucepan until butter is melted. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. Cook until cheese is melted and smooth. Drain fettuccine and put back in same pot. Pour sauce over top and garnish with parsley. (I have to double this recipe for my family we love it so much. It's also very good with some blackened chicken cut over the top!!)
