Pretzel Bun Burgers

description

Fun summer back yard grilling.

ingredients

2 lbs 70/30 or 80/20 grass fed, organic ground beef
1 bag fresh 50/50 spring mix and baby spinach
2 large vine ripe tomatoes
1 package thick cut hickory, maple, or applewood smoked bacon
2 packages fresh baby bella mushrooms
2 large red onions
cheddar cheese
1 package Fleischmann's Simply Homemade Pretzel Mix
2T Butter
Your favorite BBQ sauce (I like Bullseye Hickory flavor)

directions

Bake pretzel rolls according to instructions on package.
Divide your ground beef into 6 equal pieces, shape into paddies, and grill. (Remember to dimple in the middle with thumb, don't press juices out while grilling, and only turn once.)
Slice bacon strips in half and fry to preferred crispness.
Slice mushrooms and saute in butter, then add cheddar cheese to pan to create a cheesy mushroom sauce.
Slice onion in thin round slices (caramelize OR keep raw to preference)
Slice tomatoes

Spread BBQ sauce on your roll, place burger, and top with mushroom cheese sauce, bacon, greens, tomato, and onion.

Serve with your favorite fries. (Home made steak fries, zesty seasoned curly or waffle fries, or home made sweet potato fries with maple and Parmesan. Mmmmmmm :)
