Ingredients

• 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tablespoon freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese
• 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley, chopped
• 4 slices bread
• 4 slices American cheese

Directions

1. Heat large skillet over medium heat. Combine butter, garlic, Pecorino Romano and parsley in small bowl, stirring to combine.
2. Spread the softened garlic butter on one side of 4 slices of bread. Place 2 slices of cheese in between 2 slices of bread, with the butter on the outside.
3. Place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown on the second side and cheese has melted, another 3-4 minutes. Cut sandwiches in half and serve.
