Easy Tomato and Basil Soup

Cream of tomato and Basil

ingredients

1 (400 g) can chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
200 ml vegatable stock
50 ml single cream

directions

1 Add Tomatoes, Basil, Sugar and Stock to a saucepan and bring to the boil.
2 Simmer for about 5 minues.
3 Using a hand blender, blend the soup until smooth.
4 Add cream and return to heat for a furth 3 minutes.

I made few changes (added onion and garlig. And added spices: salt, pepper, chili, garlig powder) it was great!

s: If only I had cream and vegetable stock...

I did this recipe but instead with a can of orange tomato soup, and a veggie bouillon cube and added some salt, pepper and garlic powder and let the whole soup condense into a thicker soup. Very good. Especially with some toasted bread.

Decent. I added more sugar and Johnny's seasoning salt. Not sure about the 4 servings, only if they are 6oz (3/4cup) each!
