Easy Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

These will be the HIGHLIGHT of your holiday table!

ingredients

  • 4 – 5 lbs Yukon gold potatoes
  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 1 Tbs Onion powder
  • 1 Tbs Garlic powder (or 3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced)
  • 3 Tbs flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp Herbs
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar
  • 1/2 cup parmesan

directions

  1. Peel your potatoes and slice them about 1/8" (thin)
  2. Put butter and flour into a saucepan over med/high heat and cook for 2 minutes.  (this cooks out the flour taste)
  3. Then add all the rest of the ingredients (except the Cheeses, and the potatoes you just sliced of course)
  4. Cook and stir until it thickens.
  5. Preheat oven to 400F
  6. Grease a baking dish and fill with HALF of the sliced potatoes
  7. Pour half the sauce over the top of the potatoes.
  8. Top that with 1 cup of cheddar and 1/2 cup of Parmesan
  9. Place the rest of your potatoes over the cheese and repeat the layers one more time.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Uncover and bake for another 25 minutes.
  12. Make sure it's cooked through and ENJOY!!
