Baked Mac and Cheese

description

Better than the Blue Box!

ingredients

2 1/2-3 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 cups milk

directions

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2 Melt butter in microwave.
3 Pour macaroni in 2-3 quart casserole dish. Pour butter over macaroni. Stir well to coat.
4 Add salt and pepper. Stir well.
5 Add cheese. Sometimes I may use a mixture of monterey, colby and cheddar, depending on what I have at the time. Mix well.
6 Add milk. Do not stir.
7 Bake uncovered in oven for 60 minutes. I do think this tastes best when it is still hot from the oven.

Pasta with cheddar

It's that simple...pasta with some butter and melted cheddar on top. My friend and I discovered it one night when we didn't have much food in the house.
