description

Cinnamon and sugar doughnut with a gooey caramel center.

ingredients

1 package of crescent rolls

1 bag of caramels (unwrapped)

mixture of cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl

Canola oil for fryer.

directions

Heat about 2 inches deep of canola oil to 360 degrees in a sauce pan or fry pan.

Open crescent roll package and roll out.

Pull them apart on the perforated line and then cut them into smaller pieces to make about a 2 inch ball.

Take a caramel and press into the center and make sure the caramel is completely covered and sealed in.

Once they are all done, drop them into the oil, about 5 or 6 at a time.

Let them cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until just slightly golden brown.

Toss them immediately into the cinnamon and sugar mixture and lightly coat them. It's best to eat these while they are warm.

Once they cool completely the caramel will harden back up. You can warm them slightly in the microwave later on.
