ingredients
- 8 chicken legs/drumsticks, skin on (gives the sauce a yummy flavor when cooking)
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced (or equivalent of jarred garlic)
- 2 tbsp Sriracha (or red pepper flakes, 1 tsp)
directions
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan over a high heat.
- Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn at the 10 minute mark
- At 20 minutes, the chicken should be cooked. Move the chicken to the side of the skillet, propping and stacking them up on the edges of the skillet.
- When they're out of the way, remove any scum that rises to the surface so the sauce can reduce
- Simmer until the liquid thickens (bout 5 minutes)
- Roll the Chicken in the glaze again.
- And... Serve!!
