The STAR of the party!!
ingredients
- 1 (8oz) can crushed Pineapple
- 1 (8oz) container whipped topping
- 1 (8oz) package of cream cheese, room temp
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3 tbsp sugar PLUS 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 (10oz) packages frozen strawberries
- 2 (3oz) packages strawberry gelatin dessert mix
- 2 cups BOILING water
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- whipped cream to garnish
directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- for the crust: mix pretzels, butter, 3 tablespoons of sugar
- press that mixture into a 9x13 pan and bake for 7 minutes, set aside to cool
- In a mixing bowl, beat together Cream Cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar
- Fold in the Whipped Topping, then spread over cooled crust
- Refrigerate until well chilled
- In a smaller bowl, dissolve the gelatin with the boiling water, let cool slightly
- Add the strawberries and pineapple to the gelatin mix and pour over cream cheese mixture
- Refrigerate until serving time
- Cut into servings and serve with a little whipped topping
