Chocolat Brownies with a carmel-choc. chip center
ingredients
1 pkg Kraft individual caramels
1 pkg Duncan Hines Swiss Chocolate cake mix
1 6 or 12 oz. pkg chocolate chips
1 can Carnation Evaporated milk ( NOT Sweeten condensed)
1 stick margarine
1 cup chopped nuts
directions
Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup evap. milk, melted butter and chopped nuts and set aside.
place unwrapped caramels and 1/3 cup evap. milk in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 1 1/2 -2 minutes, stir and reheat in microwave for another 2 minutes or until caramels are melted.
Press half of the cake mixture into a 9x13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread chocolate chips and melted caramel over the cake mixture you just baked.
Drop the remaining cake mixture by spoon onto the mixture in the pan.
Bake this at 350 degrees for 22 - 25 minutes.
Allow to cool bafore serving
