ingredients

Crumble:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter

 

Cake:

  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 cups apple
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

 

Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tsp. milk

directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a smaller bowl mix all crumble ingredients together, using a fork or a pastry cutter blend until it is mixed well.
  • Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add oil, sugars, eggs, and vanilla, mix well.
  • Stir in the apples.
  • In a separate bowl mix together flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the dry mixture into the apple mixture and blend well.
  • Grease or spray bundt pan with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour enough of the batter to fill an inch or so all the way around.
  • Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of that.
  • Carefully spoon more of the apple batter on top of the crumble mixture.
  • Continue in this fashion layering until all of the batter and crumble mixture has been used.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until an inserted tooth pick comes out clean.
  • While it is baking, mix together all ingredients of the frosting and whip until it is thick and smooth.
  • When the cake is done remove from mold and frost to let it melt.
