Sauce is good on everything, you can use any meat too

ingredients

Meatballs

  • 5 pork sausages
  • 1/4 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 beaten egg
  • 1 TBSP chopped parsley
  • Seasoning
  • Oil for frying
  • Flour for shaping the meatballs

Sauce

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP Cornflour dissolved in 1/2 cup pineapple juice

directions

Meatballs

  1. Squeeze the sausage meat out of the cases into a bowl.
  2. Add the onion, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, seasonings and mush it all together.
  3. Shake a little flour onto a chopping board and with your floured hands shape into meatballs, I made 16.
  4. Put in the fridge to firm for 15/20 minutes.
  5. Heat oil and fry gently until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes, turning regularly.
  6. Drain on kitchen paper.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pan, cook over medium heat, stirring until sauce is thickened. It looks very murky at the beginning but it clears as it cooks.
  2. Pour sauce over the meatballs and Enjoy!
