Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

description

Tastes like homemade Reeces Peanut Butter Cups!

ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 (heaping) cup graham cracker crumbs **
1 12oz pkg. Hershey's Kisses***

directions

Melt butter and mix with peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Press into a buttered 9x13 pan*. Melt chocolate (in a double boiler or in the microwave) and spread over peanut butter mixture. Slice when firm, then refrigerate.

*Optionally, press peanut butter mixture into buttered muffin tins until they are a little more than half full. Pour melted chocolate over the top. Chill. Then pop them out and wrap them individually for super-sized Peanut Butter Cups!

** I prefer to pulse graham crackers in a food processor to get a nice, sandy texture that resembles the "grit" in Reece's Peanut Butter, but you can certainly crush them by hand or with a rolling pin in a sturdy plastic baggie.

***12oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips may be used if you prefer, and they don't have to be unwrapped like kisses.
