It just makes sense...

ingredients

  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 sticks of mozzarella string cheese, cut in half
  • 8 small jalapenos, cut in half lengthwise, stems and seeds removed
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • bowl of water (for rubbing the edges of the wonton wrappers)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • oil for frying

directions

  1. Bowl 1 - Beaten Egg
  2. Bowl 2 - Panko, Salt, and Garlic Powder
  3. Stuff the 1/2 Cheese stick into the 1/2 Jalapeno, lay in a the center of the Wonton Wrapper and fold the wrapper around until the Jalapeno is completely covered
  4. Dip in "Bowl 1" then "Bowl 2" until completely covered
  5. Fry until golden! (however you like... pan fry, in the deep pot, whatever)
