Easy Sweet and Sour Pork

Seriously... one of the BEST

ingredients

  • 200g (7-8oz) Pork, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • 1 egg

Bowl

  • 100g (3-4oz, 1 cup) corn flour

Skillet (sauce)

  • 2tbsp Oil (I used sesame, but they all work)
  • 5g (1-2oz) minced garlic
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped to whatever size you prefer
  • 150g (5oz) Pineapple, chopped
  • 50g (1.5oz or 1/4 cup) Sugar
  • 50ml (1.5oz or 1/4 cup) Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup

You'll also need Oil for frying (however you like)

 

directions

  1. Combine the first four ingredients into a bowl.  Stir until the pork is completely coated
  2. Let it chill for about 20 minutes in the fridge
  3. Dip the pieces in the bowl of corn flour, until coated
  4. Fry the pork for a few minutes until golden, set aside
    For the Sauce
  5. Add oil to the skillet over med/high heat and let it heat up for a few minutes
  6. Add the garlic, let it simmer for another few minutes.
  7. Add the Peppers, stir
  8. Add the Pineapple, stir
  9. Then add the Sugar, Vinegar, and Ketchup.  Stir until totally combined
  10. Toss your fried Pork pieces into the sauce, and stir until everything is coated
  11. ENJOY!!!
