Brownie in a cup

description

Perfect for a quick and easy chocolate fix!

ingredients

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

directions

In a large coffee mug, mix ingredients until fairly smooth. (I've found it's easier if you start with wet ingredients first, otherwise you end up with flour stuck to the bottom.) Place the mug into the microwave, and set it on high, for 70 to 90 seconds. 70 will have a fairly molten center, where 90 gives you a brownie worthy of some milk, so manipulation of the time is according to taste. I also like to put a little caramel or peanut butter onto the top, but that is only if you have some cold milk to wash it down!

no clue why, but this was an utter fail in my microwave. followed the recipe exactly, but it turned in to inedible black sludge instead of a lazy brownie :(

I tried this with milk instead of water and came out much creamier... much much better. I also think the trick is to add dry, wet, dry, wet.... so all the flour absorbs a little at a time and completely. Was a big difference. But now I feel like its

Horrible! I listened to the comment adding milk instead of water, and this was a disaster. Tried it for 70 sec, too watery.. Added 20 more sec and it looked more done but tasted horrible

i followed every direction.i tried it and it was a weird taste, it was so hot!i just added some coolwhip to help that.it improved the taste, but not by much. aftereating a few bites,i felt like i was going to be sick; it tasted like raw batter. -m

i agree with everyone that said it's not that sweet but it wasn't horrible. i did have to microwave longer than the 70 to 90 seconds. next i'm going to use less flour and use milk instead of water
