Buffalo Chicken Wontons

ingredients

  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing (optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce, or more to taste
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup flour mixed with Pepper
  • 20 wonton wrappers

directions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F
  2. Combine chicken, Cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, butter, and hot sauce in a bowl.
  3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon chicken mixture onto the center of each wonton wrapper; brush the edges with egg, and fold wontons in half. press to seal.
  4. Dip them in the milk, then in the flour
  5. Fry in preheated oil until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.

side tip: after you dip the wontons in the flour, you can put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to make em' a little more "solid" to fry.
